Antique Nippon Footed Bowl: Hand-Painted Landscape, Gold Gilt Rim

This beautifully decorated footed Nippon bowl is hand painted on the inside depicting a serene landscape of trees, a river, and a cottage house in the distance. The pattern names "Tree In The Meadow" and "House by the River." Round in shape, this 7.5 inch wide bowl is made of bright white glazed porcelain with brilliant gold gilding on the bowl's rim, as well as on the claw shaped footing.

Based on the maker's mark of the use of "Nippon" instead of Japan and the wreath symbol, this bowl was made between 1911 – 1921. The maker's mark "M" (within the wreath) stands for the importers name, Morimura Bros.

Condition: Excellent – no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or fading. All gold gilt is completely intact. Feel free to message me if you have additional questions or would like more photos.
