In pristine condition, this hand-painted chocolate pot set by RS Suhl dates from 1900–1917. A five-piece German porcelain set that includes a 9-inch tall chocolate pot with matching lid and four handled cups. The chocolate pot is beautifully hand-decorated with large pink florals, a pale green wash, and detailed cartouches featuring white flowers against a orange background—mirrored on the lid. The porcelain is a warm beige tone with a soft satin finish and scalloped edges. Both the pot and cups are trimmed in gold, with the cups displaying different painted scenes on either side.
Each antique piece has the authentic RS Suhl mark: red “RS” initials above a red star, enclosed in a wreath with red outline and green leaves—marking production during the Reinhold Schlegelmilch Suhl period in Prussia, now Germany, between 1900 and 1917. This elegant set reflects the artistry of early 20th-century European porcelain and was crafted for the tradition of serving hot chocolate, a popular ritual among the European elite of the time.
A highly collectible antique ideal for porcelain collectors, Art Nouveau enthusiasts, or as a unique gift for a tea or chocolate lover. Displayed together, this set adds refined historical charm to a sideboard, hutch, or breakfast setting.
