Vintage Fenton Blue Opalescent Hobnail Glass Collection: Vase, Basket, Perfume, Cornucopia

This collection of vintage Fenton Glass hobnail in opalescent blue (pattern no. 389) showcases some of the company’s most iconic forms, all crafted by hand and most with their signature crimped/ ruffled edges. Available individually:

6" Perfume Bottle with Stopper – Introduced in 1940 for Wrisleys Perfume of Chicago. The original cork around the stopper is no longer present. No Fenton paper label remains.

Large 8.25" Footed Fan Vase – This rare larger size has a ruffled rim with a sturdy circular foot, and was produced between the 1940s to the mid-1950s. No paper label remains.

5.5" Cornucopia Candle Holder (No. 3874) – Originally marketed by Fenton as a candle holder, also collected as a small cornucopia vase. Production dates are between 1940–1954 and 1959–1965.

8" Handled Basket – Dated to 1972–1973, when Fenton began molding their logo into their glass. The applied handle demonstrates the artistry required to shape molten glass within seconds.

Each piece was created by master glassworkers, who blew molten glass into hand-carved molds before reheating to shape the ruffled rims, delicate handles, or sculptural spouts that define Fenton’s art glass.

Founded in 1905 in Williamstown, West Virginia, the Fenton Art Glass Company became the largest manufacturer of handmade colored glass in the United States, producing collectible pieces for over a century until closing in 2011.
