This exquisite vintage decorative bowl was crafted by the historic Porcelaine de Couleuvre factory in France, and dates to the 1950s to early 1970s. Featuring an elegant scalloped square form, it is adorned with a radiant metallic gold floral bouquet at the center, and charming gold bows and vines encircling the interior. The rim is delicately lined with gold trim, lending it refined, timeless appeal.
This piece was made in the Allier region of France at the Manufacture de Couleuvre, established in 1789. While not located in Limoges, the factory is known for its high-quality production using "pâte et émail de Limoges" (Limoges-style porcelain paste and glaze), as noted in many of their marks. The base is stamped “Décor Main” (hand-decorated) and proudly identifies its French origin.
Perfect as a cabinet piece, display bowl, or catchall dish, this vintage French porcelain is a lovely example of mid-century European decorative art.
Condition: Excellent – no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or fading. All gold is completely intact. Feel free to message me if you have additional questions or would like more photos.
