Vintage Wedgwood Green Jasperware Heart Trinket Box: Maiden with Harp, 1960s

This Wedgwood heart-shaped trinket box is in Wedgwood's green Jasperware which is made of stoneware with a matte finish. This Jasperware is in a sage color green, often referred to Celadon. The lid of this heart-shaped box is adorned in a white bas-relief of a neoclassical scene titled "Maiden with Harp." Framing the three figures is a white bas-relief of a delicate floral motif with garland. The bottom sides are decorated with a series of white bas-relief florals. Underneath the trinket box it’s stamped "Wedgwood, Made in England," along with a partial date shown beginning with the number six which places the time frame of this piece to the 1960s. This Wedgwood trinket box is functional for storing keepsakes, a beautiful example of classic Wedgwood artistry, and thoughtful gift for a Wedgwood lover.
