This set of 4 antique T&V Limoges France hand-painted floral plates, made by Tressemanes and Vogt, dates from 1891 to 1907, based on the maker’s mark. Each 8.5 inch plate has a gold trim with soft yellow and pink hues of roses, honeysuckle, camellias, and irises. On one of the plates is the signature "G. Stauch" most likely a hobbyist painter.
The T & V maker's mark is for Tressemanes & Vogt in Limoges, France. The company was founded by Emilien Tressemanes and Gustave Vogt in 1883. After Tressemanes retired in 1907, Vogt changed the name to Porcelaine Gustave Vogt. Tressemanes and Vogt, renowned for their high-quality porcelain, produced some of the most collectible Limoges pieces of the era. These antique plates would make a beautiful addition to a porcelain collection, whether displayed on a wall, cabinet, or shelf. Additionally, this set of plates will make a thoughtful gift for a lover of antique Limoges porcelain.
