Vintage Glastonbury Lotus Champagne Coupes: Mid-Century Modern Floral Glasses, Set of 6

Made in the 1960s by the Glastonbury Lotus Company, this Set of 6 Champagne Coupes were hand blown, and then decorated by glass cutting. This particular flower design (Pattern 1500-3) is a rare find in Glastonbury Lotus glassware.

Often mistaken as etching, these glasses are decorated by glass cutting which result in the designs being shallower on the edges and deeper in the middle (not uniform in depth). Whereas etching is done by allowing acid to dissolve glass, resulting in the design having the same depth at the center as at the edge (uniform in depth).

Condition: Excellent – no condition issues including chips or cracks.
