Vintage Heinrich Chambord Gravy Boat with Attached Underplate

A vintage Heinrich Chambord gravy boat with an attached underplate (also referred to as a sauce boat and saucière). Made in Germany from 1978 – 1989 by the Heinrich Porcelain Company. The Chambord pattern was inspired by the French style gardens of the Castle of Chambord with beautiful flowers, manicured lawns, and intricate pathways. Founded in 1896 by Franz Heinrich in Bavarian Selb (Germany). Porzellanfabrik Heinrich Selb became one of the largest porcelain producers in Germany. In 1929 Heinrich & Co took over another Selb factory, Gräf & Krippner. In 1976 Heinrich Porzellan became a part of Villeroy & Boch.
