Vintage C.T. Altwasser Germany Soup Tureen: Art Deco Porcelain Serving Dish

This beautiful 1.5 quart covered serving dish dates to 1926 based on the C.T. Altwasser maker's mark (26). Made of white porcelain, this tureen has an art deco style floral band on the rim of the lid and bowl. Designed with exquisite gold accents on the rim, base, and all three handles.

In 1845 Carl Tielsch founded the C.T. Altwasser Porcelain Company in Silesia, Germany. Known for their high quality and artistic values, C.T. Altwasser was compared to porcelain manufactures from Berlin and even Meissen.
