Vintage Lladro Figurine: "Spring is Here" Girl with Flower Pot #5223

This sweet Lladro porcelain figurine is titled, "Spring is Here," and celebrates the joy of the spring season's arrival. Now a retired piece, "Spring is Here" was designed in 1984 by sculptor José Puche. This porcelain statue is of an adorable little girl lovingly holding a pot full of multi-colored spring flowers. Her blue scarf and mauve skirt are blown by the spring breeze from the meadow. Under the figurine is the sixth Llardo maker's mark which was used from 1984 to 1989. Lladró was founded in 1953 by three brothers who studied at the Valencia School of Arts and Crafts. Lladró's figurines are known for their creativity, craftsmanship, and superior techniques. The company is based in Tavernes Blanques, Valencia, Spain.
