The platter's pattern (Schleiger 39C ) features delicate pink roses with green leaves, and applied gold laurel wreaths on the handles. This white porcelain platter has a scalloped edge with a raised design along the edges which is the Star Blank (Schleiger 5) whiteware blank form. The underside has a double footer with the Haviland France mark in green and the Haviland & Co Limoges decorator mark in red. Having both of these specific marks dates this platter to 1889-1931.
