Antique Moroccan Brass Brazier, Pierced Foot Warmer Stool, Islamic Decor

This antique Moroccan brass brazier, also used as a foot warmer or bath stool, was crafted circa 1900–1930. Traditionally used in Moroccan hammams (bathhouses) and homes, this three-legged solid brass stool features a domed lid with hand-pierced floral patterns arranged in a symmetrical radial design. It retains its hollow interior chamber, originally used to hold hot embers for localized warmth. Measuring 14 inches wide by 12.5 inches tall and weighing nearly 10 pounds, it reflects the high-quality brasswork typical of Fez or Marrakech during the early 20th century.

The floral punchwork, turned tripod legs, and balanced proportions make this piece both decorative and functional. The central compartment is sealed shut, as is often the case with well-used braziers of this age, preserving its authenticity. The naturally aged patina and precise tooling emphasize the enduring skill of Moroccan artisans during this era of domestic brass production.
