Antique Royal Doulton Dickens Ware Plates: Mr. Micawber & Captain Cuttle

Mr. Micawber was a character from Charles Dicken's novel "David Copperfield." This large plate features the well-dressed Mr. Micawber in front of a quaint street scene. The warm orange tones at the base transition into softer hues, enhancing the hand-painted detail and storytelling.

Captain Cuttle (Cap'N Cuttle) was a popular figure in Charles Dicken's novel "Dombey and Son." The charming illustration captures Captain Cuttle standing proudly with his classic jovial demeanor, set against the same picturesque street scene.

Both plates are part of the highly collectible Royal Doulton Dickens Ware series, and include the makers' marks along with the character’s name and pattern number on the back.
