Rare find of adorable boy and girl set. These are a two midcentury Erich Stauffer figurines from the series #8028 – "Girl With Duck on Fence" and "Backyard Harmony." Both boy and girl figurines depict an idyllic country scene with flowers, wooden fences, and ducks.
The girl figurine (titled "Girl With Duck on Fence") features a little girl sitting on a fence while holding red flowers and playing with a duck. The boy figurine (titled "Backyard Harmony") features a boy leaning on a fence next to a duck while holding a toy horn and signing with a red bird.
Each figurine is made of porcelain and hand painted in pastel and earthen colors with a matte finish. These figurines date to the 1950s and were designed by the porcelain artist, Erich Stauffer. Though unsigned, each figure does have the Arnart maker's mark, and the matching series #8028. For more information about the company and artist, please scroll down past the measurements. This figurine pair makes a lovely midcentury collectable gift for figurine collectors, as well as a sweet keepsake gift for a child's bedroom.
Condition: Very Good – no cracks or stains. There is a tiny chip on the underside of the boy figurine and slight crazing on the bottom of both figurines (see last photo). Feel free to message me if you have additional questions or would like more photos.
Measurements: 3.5"L x 2.5"W x 5.5"H
