Vintage Shelley Teacup and Saucer: English Bone China Spring Bouquet

This beautiful vintage Shelley teacup and saucer in the SPRING BOUQUET pattern 13651 is a rare find for its excellent condition. Shelley's Spring Bouquet pattern was made between 1940-1965. This footed teacup and saucer is made of bright white English bone china in the Gainsborough shape which has a wide mouth cup, scalloped edges, and an elongated handle. Decorated on the inside of the cup and on the saucer is a beautiful floral garland of white lilies, bluebells, purple asters, orange chrysanthemums, pink flowers and orange flowers. On the outside of the cup is a single yellow chrysanthemum on one side. and a purple thistle on the other side. Both teacup and saucer have gold trim accenting in excellent condition. The maker's mark on both the teacup and saucer reads, " Fine Bone China, Shelley England, Spring Bouquet 13651." Shelley production was stopped in 1965 which is one of the reasons this brand is so collectable. This cup and saucer makes a wonderful gift for tea lovers, coffee lovers, and those that appreciate beautiful English fine bone china.
