Vintage Adams Brendon Pitcher: Mid-Century English Daisy Vase

A classic midcentury pitcher made in England by the highly reputable Adams Pottery in the early 1960s. This pitcher is in Adam Pottery's "Brendon" pattern which is hand painted with lovely yellow daisies and greenery. The pitcher is hexagonal in shape with charming raised vertical design in an arch pattern that is both below the spout and at the bottom pitcher. Glazed in a soft white, this pitcher has a sturdy footed base.

Since the pitcher is glazed on the inside, it is designed for beverages, and it can hold up to 36 ounces.

Underneath the pitcher is the Adam's maker's mark version from 1962 with the crown mark and date of 1657 which was when the pottery company first began in England. Above the maker's mark is the pattern name, "Brendon." Below the maker's mark, it reads, 'Hand Painted, Completely Underglazed, Acid and Detergent Proof." This last line was to indicate that citrus based beverages could be served in the pitcher.

This attractive pitcher is not only a great addition for serving cocktails and other beverages, but can also be used as a decorative vase for displaying flowers.

Condition: Minor wear on handle (see last photo). Otherwise no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or fading. Feel free to message me if you have additional questions or would like more photos.
