Vintage Fenton Sea Mist Green Glass Basket, 1992 Ruffle Edge

A stunning example of the artistry of Fenton Glass is represented in this Fenton Sea Mist Green Basket. At 6 inches in height, this vintage glass basket has a wide rib ruffle top with a smooth handle. This basket was made in 1992 and is Fenton's model # 8342 LE 6". The basket has a diamond cut footing and underneath is the embossed Fenton mark with the number 9 which represents the 90s decade. The artisan of this particular basket was Junior M. Thompson since his circular maker's mark is impressed at the base of each side of the basket handle. Handles made by Fenton require a high skillset since there's less than 30 seconds to attach and shape a handle before the glass cools down and is no longer workable.
