Vintage French Milk Glass Mustard Jar: Moutarde Bocquet Yvetot 1735

In excellent condition! This vintage 1930's French mustard jar with lid, has "Moutarde Bocquet Yvetot 1735" hand painted. Encircling the jar and the lid is a beautiful art deco inspired floral design in blue, burgundy, and gold. This mustard jar is made of Opalex milk glass, a material that's now quite rare to find. On the bottom of the jar it's marked "Made in France." Moutarde Bocquet Yvetot was a long established French mustard company that began in 1735 by Georges Rondel in Caudebec-en-Caux, and ceased production in 1992.

This "Moutarde Bocquet Yvetot 1735" jar will make a charming addition to a French inspired kitchen decor, and a lovely gift for fans of French cuisine.
