This stunning 12.5 inch vintage bowl was handcrafted by the Norwegian artist Elle Keramikk of Elle Pottery in Norway. Her studio was known for its richly glazed earthenware produced between 1942 and 1967. The piece features a beautiful combination of hand-incised leaf motifs and bands of concentric blue glaze with warm earthy undertones, all finished in a signature opaque faience glaze. Each design element was individually etched and painted by hand, making every bowl from this studio truly one of a kind. The stylized floral patterns and decorative border showcase the mid-century Norwegian aesthetic with a Scandinavian folk art influence.
Marked on the base with "110-MI", "E.E", and "NORWAY", this model was part of Elle Keramikk’s uniquely cataloged line of faience works. The handwritten underglaze signature reflects the studio’s commitment to craftsmanship, as each piece was completed entirely by hand—right down to the painted artist and production marks before final firing.
