A stunning hand painted tea cup and saucer in bone china made by Woodward Grosvenor of England, circa 1940s (based on the maker's mark). The pottery company was established in 1866, the trade name "Grosvenor China" was widely used. The Fruit and Vine pattern is in a stunning cobalt blue, and richly decorated with raised gold vines and orange fruit. The rim shape on the cup and saucer have a scalloped design. This tea cup and saucer is a definite show stopper and a rare find. In beautiful condition, with no chips or scratches.
Measurement:
Tea Cup – 4.5 inches in length (with handle), 2.25 inches in height.
Saucer – 5.5 inches in diameter, 1 inch in height
