Vintage The Mane Lion Plate: Hand-Painted Majolica Olive Branch Accent Plate

A rare find! This is a vintage accent plate hand crafted by The Mane Lion ceramic company. As the back stamp states, this plate is "Hand Made and Painted exclusively for The Mane Lion in Italy." This maker's mark is one of the company's original versions which dates this piece to circa 1980s- 1990s.

This discontinued pattern is a stunning 9" accent plate with a hand painted olive branch in the center, and hand painted lettuce leaves along the rim of the plate. The company is especially known for Majolica style ceramics, you can see this style in the detailed raised lettuce pattern that's hand painted around the rim of the plate.

The Mane Lion was established in 1979 in the heart of Philadelphia's famous Main Line, and offers high quality hand made and hand painted serving pieces that are crafted by skilled artisans in Italy.

Condition: In excellent condition – no chips, cracks or crazing.
